3 Steps for Healing Anxiety
If you suffer with anxiety, you are not alone. It’s a tremendous challenge for many of my clients. So many women come to me wanting to know how to heal anxiety.
First of all, the good news is I have a simple solution. It’s completely possible to heal anxiety if you’re armed with the right information and you understand the core cause of anxiety. I know because I suffered with unresolved anxiety for many years. I’ve healed it. I’ve taught others to heal it. You can heal it too.
I’m talking good long-term solutions if you truly want to reverse the imbalance rather than just treat the symptoms.
Using a holistic approach it’s easy to recognize that anxiety is an energy imbalance occurring in our body. But what exactly is going on and how can you use this information to heal anxiety?
Early in my holistic healing career, I learned how to disarm anxiety
So, let’s take a look at what is really going on in your body when you are experiencing anxiety.

After 20 + years of working with clients I’ve found that there’s two primary locations that people experience uncomfortable sensations when they say they have anxiety.
One is mental anxiety and the other is physical anxiety.
With mental anxiety, one feels that their head and brain are going to implode from mental exhaustion and “noise”. They lose focus and feel as if all their thoughts are just spinning in circles. One client explained it, “as if every thought that passes through is hitting a land-mine and causing it to implode”.
Their skin and scalp may feel tingly, numb, or ultra-sensitive to touch. The more they try to divert their attention from the symptoms, the worse the symptoms get. Outside stimulus and noise intensifies the mental chatter. Eventually, this will cause alternating bouts of extreme fatigue and insomnia and result in a visit to the doctor.
With physical anxiety, one feels a welling up of energy in their heart center and chest. Their heart rate may rise as they feel a sense of fear, panic, or agitation in the center of their chest. It’s as if a nervous energy has a hold of them and won’t let go. It is sometimes hard to breathe and there is often a sense of feeling like you’re “going in circles” as the energy swirls within your body.
Let’s look at what’s causing these symptoms and how to diminish or disarm them…
In both instances, the symptoms are due to energy imbalances. That is, the energy that keeps our body and mind centered and grounded, and belongs down in our root and sacral chakras has risen up in the body.
As a result, for certain body-mind types, who have a predominance of “air” in their constitution, it’s almost as if the air/wind grabs hold of their worries and fears and blows them into the upper body.

In the first stage of imbalance the result is mental anxiety. And it’s due to the fears just continuing to circle in the mind over and over again, without ever getting any resolution.
Healing always occurs in the present moment!
That is to say, taking steps to bring your energy back down into your body, back into the lower energy centers. One of the tools I teach clients is to use specific breathing to bring their energy into the here and now. The moment you notice that your mind is motoring a mile a minute and you are losing focus, begin to watch your breath. It shifts your focus from your thoughts.
The mistake that most people make is that they try to stop or shut off the thoughts. But that never works and actually intensifies the mental effort, causing more distress.
You can’t shut off the mind, but you can distract it!
Your breath is the simplest way to do that.
In the second stage of imbalance, a person will experience physical anxiety and symptoms in their chest and heart center. What’s happened to create these symptoms is simple. In an attempt to stop the mental anxiety of stage one, the fears and accompanying emotions get moved, suppressed and buried in the cells and tissues.
When they well up in the heart center they are trying to come up and out for resolution. The mind couldn’t function with this “top-heavy” energy continuing to circulate. It’s self-regulating biofeedback system kicks in and dissipates the imbalance by suppressing the energy.
There are three universal fears that the ego mind is usually focused upon. And every living person will have to face and resolve them at some point in their lifetime. These are usually the basis for the mental anxiety and hence the suppressed emotions and feelings that get stored in the heart center.
What actually creates the sensations and discomfort of anxiety is that most people don’t know how to process or deal with the three universal fears and they’ll do anything to avoid them.
The mental fear goes round and round, never reaching resolution. And then the discomfort of the repressed fears and emotion welling up causes so much discomfort that they’ll do anything to stuff it back down.
And so the cycle continues until a new consciousness and awareness is presented to correct the energetic imbalances.

Medical intervention with prescription drugs doesn’t correct the energy imbalances or address the resolution of the three universal fears. It only works to suppress them even further. The original cause is still active. This is why so many patients end up increasing the medication dosages after their body builds a tolerance to them. The underlying energy imbalance is still active.
The original core cause is still active. This is why so many patients end up increasing the medication dosages after their body builds a tolerance to them. The underlying energy imbalance is still active.
(If you doubt that the core cause is an energetic imbalance, we need only look to medical diagnostics of EKG’s and EEG’s that are focused on measuring the electrical waves and activity of the brain and the heart).
Even if one isn’t interested in resolving the three universal fears, they can still heal anxiety. There are three simple steps to use.
1. Learn to move energy in your body.
This is a proactive and preventative approach. Become familiar with your chakra and energy system.
If you suffer with stage one mental anxiety learn techniques to bring the vata energy out of your head and back into your body. If you don’t know how to do this and need support and guidance unlock the missing piece is very effective program. When you need a quick tool to get centered in your heart I recommend the Love Meditation
Learn to use your breath to bring yourself back into the present moment.
2. Develop a “stillness practice”.
You can begin with 5-10 minutes in the morning and evening. This too will send a signal to your body that you intend to take charge and manage your energy better. And to create balance between your mental energy and your physical energy. Sit in a quiet place. Ideally in the same place each time. And consider creating an altar designated to this in your home. Begin by just observing your breath. ( it’s sort of like counting sheep). It distracts the mind and diffuses the repetitive thoughts.
By practicing this when you are not in an anxious state you’ll develop a skill level and be able to use it to diffuse the physical energy next time it rises up. When the sensations rise up in your chest, you can move and redirect them by putting your attention on your breath as you did in your stillness practice. This will allow the sensation to rise up and out, rather than get stuffed back down. The breath is tremendous vehicle for moving energy and pain in your body. Allow the energy and sensations to rise up and be transformed by the peace of your heart energy.
This tool allows you to be the witness. Recognize that the sensation you are feeling is just energy moving and “this too shall pass”.
3. Support yourself…
With temporary herbal support, if needed, while you are mastering steps one and two. Plant therapy and essential oils work in synergy with your body. They are synergistically blended to actually correct the energy imbalance, not just treat the symptoms. They can help tremendously in the short term.
But I highly recommend that you still work to heal the core cause by learning to move the energy out of your head. Copaiba is also a very good intervention to strengthen the nervous and immune system and reduce inflammation.
While these solutions may sound simplistic I can guarantee that they work. They offer an empowered approach for self-healing and restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
Over time if you use these steps your energy body will become balanced. There will be less and less repressed energy that wants to get your attention. You’ll also have succeeded in reprogramming the cellular memories that are stored in your body. And you’ll have reprogrammed how your body responds to fear. As a result, you’ll be free from anxiety.
You bring the “Want to”. I deliver the “How to.”
