If you’re an empath, or a person struggling with anxiety…and you have trouble trying to gain a sense of balance, this is for you!
Today I’m writing about the top reasons why you’re struggling and losing your energy. And I’m going to tell you what you can do to get back in control.
We’re taking a look at where you are unknowingly giving away your energy.
What I mean by that is… the expenditure of your energy and being mindful and aware of the places where you might be giving away your energy and relinquishing both personal and spiritual power.
It all starts with learning to become centered and grounded in your body, in the present moment.
It’s really all about being conscious and aware of who you truly are, what your gifts and your talents are as an empath, and putting your energy into that in a positive way…
So it will benefit you, and others.
At the core of it all, it’s important to remember that EVERYTHING is energy. And as an empath, you must CHOOSE to be aware and manage your energy.
Understand the intention of the information I’m sharing today so you can elevate yourself to the next level of development.
I know a lot of you reading this may have just discovered or woken up to what it means to be an empath. Maybe you’ve been experiencing metaphysical events for a long time but don’t quite embrace that being an empath is a gift.
It IS a divine gift and should be viewed as such. It took me many, many years to grasp that.
I also learned that not all “light-workers” are empaths. And vice versa.
A lot of people have fear about what it really means to be an empath because they get run away in their minds with ideas of the paranormal from movies and television. That is all Hollywood!
There’s a lot of unnecessary FEAR!
I witnessed this with customers who came into my wellness center and conscious living book/gift shop. They came in full of fear and filled with misinformation.
As empaths, how do we stop all this fear?
So many people buy into what’s misrepresented in the media. They miss the gift and spiritual aspects of being an empath.
Here’s my suggestions:
1. Assess how you feel
If something doesn’t resonate as Truth with you then don’t accept it. Learn to develop your own sense of discernment.
When you are focused in the present moment and being aware of your body, you can take a deep breath and center yourself. Then ask yourself, in the moment, how do I feel, about the situation or energy I am in. If it makes you feel “off” or drained, or anxious, walk away.
You can always choose, when you are being aware and in touch with your feeling and energy.
2. If You’re Struggling With Life Or Problems
It’s best to seek help from someone in your local community. Ask for referrals from trusted close friends or family. Don’t spew your fears on social media for all to see. When you do that you give energy to your fears for others to join in on. You can get a lot of low energy reflected back to you which is only going to make you feel worse.
3. Consider the intention and energy of groups that you associate with.
I always manage and maintain high vibe energy of my groups and physical spaces. I keep it at a very high vibration and frequency. If you don’t know how to do that, learn. Lots of folks unknowingly send out judgements and drama vibes. You can choose to not be in it.
4. Remember that you are a magnet
When you post about how horrible your health or your life is on social media or how bad you feel, you are like a magnet to the same sorts of energy.
Sure there are always people who will respond with a heart or kind words.
But there’s more likelihood of your energy staying low because like energy attracts like energy.
Find support in your local community with well established professional groups and organizations.
There’s often thousands of people in social media groups, from all around the world.
Too many people in the mix causes you to absorb other people’s energy.
You get hooked into their loop and it just keeps circling. There’s plenty of scammers and ill-willed folks that make their way into these groups.
5. Lay off the woo-woo.
All it’s going to do is freak you out! I have a lot of people write to me. One girl wrote to me telling me how scared she was, “It’s just awful” she said. “A “ghost” was pulling on my hair while I was sitting in bed.”
I had someone else write to me. A friend messaged me and asked, “Who is it that is walking around my bedroom at night. I hear footsteps. “
Okay. Paranormal and psychic events are one thing. and as I mentioned, often sensationalized by Hollywood. Lay off that stuff. Get solid training to learn how to manage your energy, and leave that other stuff alone.
We all have free will. You can choose what to do with your gifts. Choose to replace fear with understanding and love. It doesn’t have to be scary or difficult being an empath.
1. Developing a stillness practice will help you connect with your higher self to be present in your life and your choices. As a result, spiritual and woo-woo events will not drain your energy.
2. Take a few good spiritual development classes. And I mean spiritual development classes! Not mediumship and psychic development classes.
A lot of empaths start out taking a mediumship class or psychic development class.
That’s very different from learning to connect to your higher self-within and be directed by your soul. One is putting your attention on dead people/souls on the other side, and everything outside yourself.
The other is putting your attention on the development and relationship of your soul and its energy in your body, mind, and life.
Too many empaths stay stuck focusing on everything outside themselves and the wicky-woo, and never learn to manage their own energy.
That’s why they get sick and experience anxiety and depression, and weight issues.
When you focus on building a spiritual practice and managing your energy with self-healing techniques your guides will easily be able to stay balanced.
3. It’s all about learning to live, learn, and balance as you use your gifts.
Become more aware. Be mindful how you view yourself, how you view energy, and how you view your gifts.
And don’t subscribe to what I call “energetic voyeurism”.
Don’t invite people you don’t know into your spiritual and energetic field. It weakens you. That’s YOUR sacred space. Not because they have bad intentions but many of them are not skilled and carry a lot of heaviness.
You don’t need that. Learn to go inside and read yourself. Learn to get still and read your own energy.
Don’t be putting your energy out there for everyone else to read…
Unless you know them, their values, their training, and their intention. A lot of people are just playing and practicing and you have no idea what level of development they’re at on their spiritual path.
They may be dumping their stuff smack down in the middle of your field.
I know many that are sick and holding a tremendous amounts of pain in their body and field. It’s not a judgement!
It’s just a fact. These folks will affect your energy field if you are an unskilled empath that hasn’t learned to manage energy in your body.

Be energetically mindful about how you want energy to come back to you. So there’s less to disrupt your well-being.
